'Volunteering' for a good cause
Throughout my life, I've always pursued philanthropy as I realise how fortunate I am to have a comfortable life where I have all that I want and need. I've always contributed to society from young. I used to be involved in Rotary Club with local community projects, volunteered as an English teacher for an independent Chinese school, and even now I am with Civil Defence Malaysia as a volunteer officer. When I first discovered Elken, I found a new way of contributing to society - that of building people - inspiring them, enabling them with skills so that they too can contribute to others. It gives me pride and joy to see my downlines and network improving their status, health, beauty and replicating that to the community. Elken is not just about becoming richer, but touching and transforming lives in a meaningful way. This is my driving force, my passion, and Elken makes it all possible!

I am a very determined person who doesn't give up easily. I have many years of experience in sales, including being American Express' top Bumiputra salesman in Sarawak. Because of this, I felt MLM offered greater prospects so I joined some 20 MLM companies and even reached the top level in some. However, I eventually dropped out because of changes in management or the companies' failure to deliver on its promises. I was first attracted by Elken's excellent management and vision. Its holistic MRT health concept tackles illness at its root cause and I give advice like a nutritionist, not a salesman. Through Elken's System Education, I also learnt to work as a team and not as a one-man show. Prior to joining Elken, I was just an ordinary housewife with low self-confidence and few skills. My life was predictable day in, day out: cook, clean the house, take care of the kids. I often felt a low of sense of worth and contribution - was this all I was good for? I had few friends, except for my neighbours and pasar malam traders that I haggle with! But after joining Elken, my life was transformed! With my upline's encouragement, I attended all the Elken activities which taught me to work independently and share sincerely. Now, I hold my own home parties to educate others about Elken and have even become a prominent speaker. With my own income, I can also occasionally pamper myself and my family with luxuries. No shortcuts to Elken success, only patience and perseverance counts!
When I first attended Elken meetings, I marvelled at the crowds of hundreds compared to 4 other MLM companies I was previously involved in, with only 30-40 in attendance. I discovered why - Elken provides excellent support to its distributors. With a checklist to guide new members to start the business, Elken's superb System Education and filing system make sharing easy. Within a month of joining Elken, I became a Manager and 6 months later, an ESM. I was elated, became proud, and started taking shortcuts, hoping to attain success faster. Soon my whole network crumbled and I remained stagnant at ESM for 2 1/2 years. During this difficult time, Elken's network support was most evident as uplines and senior uplines had heart-to-heart talks with me and advised, guided and encouraged me. I realised my mistakes and started afresh. In Elken, it's not about your speed but your patience and perseverance! With a renewed perspective, I am confident of becoming a CCM in 2008!

Never depend on job security & promotions!
Many people in employment think of job security and gradual promotions but that's not always true, For 5 years, I worked in a small operation company that grew to an international scale. After 20 tries, I finally got it right!
Seeing the potential in MLM, I had joined 20 different direct selling companies over many years. Although I saw many people succeeding, success somehow eluded me, probably because of the companies' poor support network and marketing plans. For 16 years, my 'MLM' income was only RM50 monthly. I drove a Kancil, never enjoyed holidays, not even to Peninsular Malaysia! The scenario is totally different in Elken as my uplines and network always support me, teaching me to dream big and set targets while constantly reviewing my performance.
